Fourth of July Parade draws a crowd

Posted

Crowds of people wearing red, white and blue lined the streets of Highlands Ranch to watch the annual Fourth of July Parade. Hosted by the Highlands Ranch Community Association, the parade featured hay wagons, horses, fire trucks, motorcycles and a variety of elaborate floats.

Families sat on chairs in the grass near Town Center and children ran along the sidewalks, eager to catch candy from the parade's participants. The event started in front of the Kaiser Permanente Bldg, 9285 Hepburn Street, and ran along Highlands Ranch Parkway.

The parade kicked off a day of fun in the Ranch. Festivities at Heritage Regional Park, including a hot dog eating contest and fireworks show, followed.
