More than 1,500 residents gathered at Civic Green Park on June 9 for KidFest. The Highlands Ranch Metro District hosts the annual event.

The family-friendly morning featured free activities, live entertainment, food and a variety of vendors.

Special guests included the Colorado Hawking Club, a membership organization dedicated to falconry. Members gave live presentations with birds of prey. Mounted patrol from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office also made an appearance.

Kids kept busy with a bounce house, climbing wall, Nerf Dart zone, obstacle course and more.
