Tour the Universe with Douglas County Libraries

Posted by DCL

No space suit required! Join Douglas County Libraries and Dr. Ka Chun Yu, Head Curator of the Space Sciences Museum with the Denver Museum of Nature & Science (DMNS), for an interactive evening of space travel at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 6, at Douglas County Libraries in Highlands Ranch, James H. LaRue (9292 Ridgeline Blvd.).

Dr. Yu will drive this unique, interactive 3-D tour of the known universe, where guests can learn about our place in the cosmos. Modeled after the DMNS’s Space Tours Live planetarium shows, requests from audience members will guide the voyage as we explore the solar system, pass into interstellar space, and travel away from our Milky Way Galaxy to the edge of the Big Bang itself.

Tour the Universe is ideal for ages 9 and up. The event is free to the public, but registration is required. For more information, visit DCL.org or call 303-791-7323.

Douglas County Libraries elevates our community by inspiring a love of reading, discovery and connection.
