About me

I was born in Denver. I’ve lived in Highlands Ranch my entire life. I live with my parents and my dog. I never really played any sports as a kid but for about six years I have been doing parkour and I am now a certified coach. In school, I enjoy social studies, history, marketing, psychology and sociology. I want to avoid college if I can, — I’m trying to pursue photography as a career and everything I can learn is online, in high school or from experience.

Capturing adventure

In spring of 2016 I started thinking that it would be really cool to take photos and travel and see the world. My parents want me to follow my dreams so they bought me a camera.

My big thing is a sunrise mission. I get a couple of friends and we go up to the mountains or a lake really early to see the sunrise and I take photos. When summer rolled around, I started camping and doing astrophotography, taking photos of the stars. We would sleep for a few hours and then catch the sunrise.

I don’t remember the last weekend I didn’t go somewhere to shoot photography in the mountains. I really am trying to make a business out of this so I’ve spent a lot of time building my website and Instagram page. My big things are adventure, travel, landscape photography and portraits.

A desire to travel

Soon I’ll be submitting a set of five photos to try to win a spot on one of National Geographic’s photography expeditions. That’s what really got me interested in photography. I won’t find out until March.

If I could travel anywhere to takes photos, I’d want to go to Iceland, Italy — specifically the Dolomites mountain range— Norway or the Pacific Northwest in the United States. Most of my photography in general has been shot here in Colorado.

I love being able to capture how beautiful our state and our world are and sharing that with other people. The photos and the people I take on my adventures show me the importance of pushing yourself to the edge of human existence instead of living in the mundane normalcy that so many people in our time accept. It’s shown me that there is a lot more to life achieved through photography and through having people experience these adventures with me.

Fun fact

I’m a Christian, so photography is an opportunity for me to show off creation and show people the greatness of God.
