Valor Christian High School football extended its perfect record in the South Metro League Oct. 23 at Littleton Public Schools Stadium after a 63-0 punishment over Littleton. The Eagles moved to a 3-0 league record, 5-3 overall.

Valor’s Christian McCaffrey rushed two touchdowns into the books in the first quarter, one of which was for 60 yards. Brock Berglund threw two touchdown passes, including one for six yards to McCaffrey in the second. He hit receiver Cole Anderson in the first quarter on a 9-yard touchdown play.

Braxton Peats also found the end zone twice. He had a 10-yard touchdown rush and a 5-yard trek to paydirt, both in the second.

Also in the first, Sackett Keesen blocked a punt and ran it back 10 yards for a touchdown. In the second, George Talanoa scored on a 5-yard touchdown run, and Wes Taber broke the plane on a 10-yard TD rush in the third. Kicker Taylor Yancey went 9-for-9 on point-after-touchdown kicks.

Berglund finished with 107 passing yards. McCaffrey had 78 yards rushing. On defense, A.J. Isenburg had 10 total tackles including 1.5 sacks.

With the loss, the Lion fell to a 2-6 overall record, 0-3 in league.
