Douglas County SRO of the Month

On May 19, the National Association of School Resource Officers recognized Douglas County Deputy Jeff Cislo as the SRO of the Month after a student from Mountain Vista High School wrote a letter in support of his work.

According to the announcement, in March the high school student sent a letter to Cislo’s lieutenant. The letter described a day when she talked to Cislo and what his impact had on her. See more from the letter in the exhibit provided by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

Memorial Day service on May 29

On  Monday, May 29 at 11:45 a.m. the community will pay tribute to fallen heroes at the Highlands Ranch Metro District annual Memorial Day Service at the Highlands Ranch Veterans Monument.

Arrive early to walk through the Veterans Monument and read the dedication tiles honoring our brave servicemen and women.

Participants should bring chair if standing for 30 minutes is an issue.

Summer Symphony Series in Highlands Ranch

The Highlands Ranch Community Association recently announced the dates for the annual Summer Concert Series.  With two shows already concluded, two more are coming on May 31 and June 7.

his series pairs performances from the Lone Tree Symphony for a new summer experience special to Highlands Ranch. Tickets are $25 and on sale now! All ages are welcome. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase, must be 21+. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.

Back by popular demand: Oaked and Smoked American Whiskey & BBQ

Back by popular demand, HRCA and Davidsons Beer, Wine & Spirits will host and afternoon of whisky sampling and grilled and barbecue pm Saturday, July 15, starting at 3 p.m.

Annual car show returns on June 10

The 23rd annual Highlands Ranch Cultural Affairs Association Classic Car Show returns this year. This is the perfect weekend activity that the whole family will enjoy. Come see some great unique and classic cars, service vehicles, and trucks!

Have a car that you want to show off? Register your classic, antique, unique, or new car! You don't have to have a classic car to participate. We're looking for any cool cars you want to show off! From lifted Jeeps to Model T's and everything in-between. Entry fees benefit the Cultural Affairs Association to help us continue to fund our cultural programming.
