Country music to enliven weekend

Timothy P. and the Rocky Mountain Stocking Stuffers, a 10-piece band, will perform country music at Lakewood Cultural Center, 470 S. `A Hudson Christmas'

Hudson Gardens, 6115 S. Santa Fe Drive, Littleton, presents acres of dazzle after a two-year hiatus. A family of giant glowing snowmen are new this year. Doors open at 5 p.m. Last call for entry is 9 p.m. with curfew at 9:30 p.m. Tickets: $15 for dated tickets, $12 for ages 4-12, free 3 and under. $20, $17 for undated tickets (nifty holiday gift). Nixon's Coffee House will be open to serve warm beverages.

Fireflies fest

The Butterfly Pavilion, 6252 W. 104th Ave., Westminster, presents two weeks of Living Lights Festival with a search for the Firefly Princess. Biofluorescent animals and glowing exhibits light pathways that will include illuminated landscapes for these tiny critters., which I recall from a Pennsylvania childhood, but they don't normally exist in Colorado.
