“Bat Boy: the Musical” by Kaythe Farley,and Brian Fleming, with book by Laurence O’Keefe, plays through May 10 at Town Hall Arts Center, 2450 W. Main St., downtown Littleton. Based on a 1982 Weekly World News story about a half-boy, half-bat found living in a cave. Nick Sugar, who played the lead a number of years ago at Theatre on Broadway, directs. Performances: 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays; 2 p.m. Sundays. Not intended for anyone under 17. Tickets: $21-$36, 303 794-2787, ext. 5.

A Stage C production will be at 7 p.m. Friday, April 10 at Englewood’s Hampden Hall, 1000 Englewood Parkway, second floor. Featured musician guitarist-vocalist John Steidmann will be joined by John Friedman on guitar and Aaron Angel, bass. The Blue Ukeladies will bring a mix of folk, rock, country and bluegrass. Nine-year-old Kate Lubotsky and little sister Lexi Lubotsky will each sing two songs and poet Kathryn Winograd and her students will read poetry. (April is National Poetry Month). “Tang Concubines,” a Chinese spectacular, written, produced and directed by Denver resident Dr. Dennis Law, won awards in Canada. Set in 618-726 AD, it uses music, dance, martial arts to tell the story of two concubines, at Buell Theater, Denver Center Complex, April 7-19. “Faces in the Crowd” by Peter Gwinn, Colbert Report writer, will premiere for one weekend, April 17-18 at the Avenue Theater, 417 E. 17th Ave., Denver, mounted by Chicago cast member Kerstin Caldwell.
