DC voters vote no on ballot measures

Posted

Voters in Douglas County have made it clear they don't want amendments 60 and 61 and proposition 101.

The unofficial results have voted no on all three measures: 75 percent voted no on amendment 60, 72 percent of voters voted no on amendment 61 and 66 percent of voters voted no on proposition 101.

Castle Rock Mayor Ryan Reilly said he was unsure of how the results would turn out, but is happy with the outcome.

“To be honest we didn’t really know what to expect. Obviously the council passed a resolution opposing all of them so we didn’t want them to pass because we thought they would be detrimental to Castle Rock,” he said. “It’s good news they did fail so people see value in services their municipalities provide them.”
