Lone Tree youth wins Junior NBA/WNBA Skill Challenge

The Denver Champions for the Junior NBA/Junior WNBA Skills Challenge were recently determined during a display of skills at the Pepsi Center in Denver, during one of 35 regional competitions. The skills challenge showcased the top 23 boys and girls in three age brackets from across the area; 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14. All winners from the competition were treated to a Nuggets game that evening where they received on-court, pre-game recognition. First place regional champions will be ranked nationally against the 34 first-place teams from each region, earning them a chance to move on to the national finals May 2009 in Orlando. Jalen Kittrell of Lone Tree won the boys 13-14 division.
