Boys lacrosse

Highlights: Austin Fisher had three goals and two assists for the Jaguars. Brian Wanless had three goals and one assist. Kacy Carter also had a hat trick. Goaltender Daniel Poindexter had 13 saves.

Douglas County 3 2 2 1 - 8

Highlights: The Jaguars’ Parker Jackson had two goals and one assist. Austin fisher had two assists and one goal. Goaltender Daniel Poindexter had 12 saves.

Mountain Vista 5 4 3 1 - 13

Castle View 0 0 0 2 - 2

Highlights: Vista’s Walker Brown had three goals and one assist. Mitch Nelson had two goals and two assists. Tim Taggart also got two between the pipes.

Highlands Ranch 7 6 0 1 - 14

ThunderRidge 1 1 3 0 - 5

Highlights: The Falcons’ Grant Arthurs had five goals and one assist. Joe Hansley had three goals and three assists. Tyler Doskins had 2-1, and Jordan Smith snuck two shots between the pipes. No ThunderRidge highlights reported.

Highlights: The Falcons’ Hansley and Grant Arthurs had three goals and two assists each. Eric Arthurs finished with 11 saves in the cage.

Highlights: Megan Long and Hailey Walsh had one goal each for the Jaguars. Goalkeeper Sam Oberg had 12 saves. Huskies highlights were not reported.

Highlights: The Golden Eagles’ Kelsey Branstetter had the game’s only goal. Halie Hughes assisted.

Highlights: The Grizzlies’ Leigha Leonard had the games’ only goal. Goalkeeper Kelli Green had four saves to the shut out.

Highlights: The Eagles’ Janine Beckie had three goals. Brianna Pugh had two goals and two assists. Jaelene Hinkle had one goal and two assists.

Girls’ lacrosse

Highlights: T-Ridge’s Kylie Smith had six goals and four assists. Korinne Wanek had four goals and four assists. Chloe Yarusso had 2-2. Taylor Phelps and Tori Eberlein had two goals each. “ThunderRidge had a slow start but managed to pick it up and play our game,” Grizzlies coach Alanna Gilbertson said. “Smith had an outstanding game. Once again, I am so proud of my players for playing as a team and having the goals distributed amongst eight girls.”

Track and field

Nike Littleton Invitational

Rock Canyon earned 15 points at the Nike Littleton Invitational April 20 at Littleton Public Schools Stadium. Valor Christian claimed 11 points.

Highlights (Rock Canyon): Junior Alison Forrester won the girls high jump with a height of 5 feet, 2 inches.

Highlights (Valor Christian): Junior Elizabeth Jefferson won the girls 400-meter dash with a time of 57.65 seconds.

RFC Invitational

Highlands Ranch finished fourth at the RFC Invitational April 18 at Aurora Public Schools Stadium in Aurora.

Highlights (Highlands Ranch): Senior Anthony Carr won the boys 200-meter dash with a time of 23.31 seconds. Junior Cam Kilcullen took the boys 800 run with 2 minutes, 5.95 seconds. Sophomore Tyler Nelson was first in the boys 1,600 run with 4:29.13. West Point-bound senior Garrett Wilson won the 3,200 run with 10:19.37. Wilson was also third in the 1,600.

Sophomore Eleanor Fulton was first in the girls 1,600 with 5:05.67. Freshman Kristen Kientz won the girls 3,200 with 12:12.78. Sophomore Pam Yu was first in the girls triple jump with a distance of 35 feet, 2 inches. She was also third in the girls long jump. Senior Emily Stark won the discus throw with a distance of 104-4. The Falcons’ girls 1,600-meter relay team won its event with 4:11.81.

Junior McLane Ritzel was second in the girls 800 run. Sophomore Nelson Ramos tied for third in the boys 100 dash. Sophomore Emily Hickey was third in the girls 400 dash.

Thornton Invitational

ThunderRidge won the Thornton Invitational April 20 at Thornton High School with 424 points. Mountain Vista finished third with 163.

Highlights (ThunderRidge): Senior Chris Graziano won the boys 100-meter dash with a time of 11.07 seconds. Graziano was also second in the 200. Senior Andy Bartosch won the boys 3,200 run with a time of 10 minutes, 22.29 seconds. Senior Natalie Leech won the girls 100 dash with 13.23. Senior Kelsey Williamson won the 800 run with 2:19.05 where the Grizzlies dominated the top three spots. Senior Courtney Bowers won the girls 100 high hurdles in 16.64. Bowers also took gold in the 300 hurdles with 48.30.

Junior Matt Walker won the boys pole vault event with a height of 12 feet even. He was also second in the boys 110 high hurdles. Junior Stephon Roddey took gold in the boys triple jump. He was runner up in the long jump. Junior Jordan Savage won the girls triple jump with a distance of 33-11.

In the relay events, the Grizzlies’ boys 400-meter relay (43.66) and 800 relay (1:30.71) teams won their respective events. The girls 400 relay (51.06), 800 relay (1:47.79), 1,600 relay (4:05.02) and 3,200 relay (9:49.35) teams also won their events.

Junior Kenneth Hulbert was second in the 400 dash. He was third in the 200. Sophomore Elisa Isakson was runner up in the girls 400 and also took second in the pole vault. Sophomore Dominique Gerard was second in the girls 800. Freshman Alex Kohrs was runner up in the girls 1,600. Hannah Krumreich, a senior, was second in the girls 3,200. Sophomore Chanah Gallagher was runner up in the girls 300 high hurdles. Junior Danny Techentien was second in the pole vault. Senior Matt Smith was second in the shot put.

Chris Nwoke, a senior, was third in the boys 100 dash. Amanda Lee, a junior, was third in the girls 400. Sophomore Brittany Bonato was third in the 800.

Highlights (Mountain Vista): Senior Megan Chipman won the girls 1,600-meter run with a time of 5 minutes, 20.63 seconds. Senior Kelsey Wheeler took gold in the girls discus throw with a distance of 115 feet, 5 inches.

Senior Brandon Miller was second in the boys 100 dash. Junior Michael Finger was second in the boys 3,200. Vista’s boys 400-meter relay team also took second in its event.

Senior Brendan Foley was third in the 3,200. Cameron Carter, a sophomore, was third in the boys long jump. The Eagles’ boys 800 relay team was third in its event. The girls 800 relay and 1,600 relay teams were also third in their respective events.
