Half of the COVID-19 cases confirmed in Douglas County are in Highlands Ranch, according to the latest figures from Tri-County Health Department.
As of March 19, there were six cases in Highlands Ranch, four in Castle Rock and two in Lone Tree. While the number of people tested in the entire state is being tracked, this information is not available for each county, said Gary Sky, spokesman for Tri-County.
“We fully expect the numbers to increase since more testing is being done,” he said.
Those who believe they have symptoms of COVID-19 — including a dry cough, shortness of breath and fever — or have been exposed to someone with the disease, are encouraged to call their health care provider or a local clinic.
Tri-County recommends postponing all group gatherings of 10 or more people.
“Social distancing is one of the most effective methods to reduce the spread of COVID-19,” according to its website.
There were 14 cases in Adams County and 19 in Arapahoe, according to Tri-County's latest count.
