Help plan a Douglas County tradition


Douglas County residents who love 4-H, FFA and the county fair and rodeo are needed to sit on the Douglas County Fair Board and represent a community tradition that is more than 100 years old.

Interested residents are encouraged to apply for the three open seats by Sept. 23. Candidates will ideally have knowledge of or experience in 4H or FFA programs, rodeo or special events, volunteer management or the entertainment industry.

Board member will be required to participate in two committees, which meet twice a month. In addition, members attend a monthly board meeting and can expect to spend an average of three to four hours a week engaged in fair business.
