HRCA board elections soon

Posted

Five people are vying for two seats on the Highlands Ranch Community Association Board of Directors.

Todd Landgrave is campaigning to keep his seat and Jeff Wasden, a decade-long veteran of the board, is stepping down, leaving two seats available.

The directors are elected by the HRCA delegates. The election will be March 17.

Richard Dinsmore, Scott Lemmon, Shon Payne, Heather Towsley and Langrave are hoping to have a seat at the table.

The HRCA Web site has each candidate’s answers to standard questions created by a trio of delegates.

All but Shon Payne spoke at the HRCA meeting Feb. 17.

Lemmon sits on the architectural committee. Dinsmore is the president of the Highlands Ranch Golf Club homeowners association. Payne is the delegate from Indigo Hills. Dinsmore and Payne serve as delegates to the HRCA. Towsley served on the board of managers for Fitzgerald Condominiums on New York City’s Upper West Side. Landgrave has served two years as the treasurer for the board.

Residents can contact their delegates and request votes in the election. Each delegate votes the total lots he or she represents for each open seat. The lots can be split.

Cumulative voting, where the delegates could throw three times their lots behind a candidate, was taken out last year.
