The Joint opens new office

The Joint, West Parker, has opened at 17051 Lincoln Ave., Suite K, giving residents a place to access routine chiropractic care.

The Joint boasts a no-appointment, no-insurance and no-hassle business model, according to a news release. Its membership model allows patients seeking pain relief and prevention to customize ongoing treatment plans or receive preventative chiropractic exams. Patients can use their membership at any of The Joint Chiropractic offices nationwide.

“Chiropractic care is an important aspect of our overall holistic health. Everyday activities such as sitting at a desk all day or constantly looking down to check our phones take a toll on our bodies, especially our spine health. A key to preventing and managing pain is routine chiropractic adjustments,” Dr. Steven Knauf, director of chiropractic and compliance for The Joint Chiropractic, said in the news release. “The Joint removes the hassle of insurance and booking appointments, making it more convenient for patients in Parker to maintain a chiropractic care regimen.”

Chiropractors at The Joint treat lower back pain, upper back pain, neck pain, migraine and tension headaches, shoulder pain and elbow pain, knee, foot and ankle pain, sciatica, fibromyalgia, and more.

Urgent care clinic in Castle Rock

A Colorado native who dreamed of going into medicine has opened a American Family Care urgent care facility in Castle Rock.

“I’ve had passion for medicine since I was in about second grade,” owner Amin Aeini said in a news release. “My parents moved to Denver in the late 1970s around the time of the Iranian Revolution. I was born here, and my entire family eventually moved to Denver. As a child, I watched one of my grandparents cope with the long-term effects of a stroke. It was during this experience I realized I eventually wanted to figure out a way to help people get medical care.”

American Family Care opened in May at 5700 New Abbey Lane in the King Soopers shopping center. The independently-owned location is the ninth AFC to open in the Denver metropolitan area. The new clinic will serve patients seven days a week, and no appointments are necessary.

For 37 years, AFC has expanded its non-emergency room urgent care concept to more than 26 states. All clinics are designed, equipped, and staffed to provide accessible primary care, urgent care, and minor emergency treatment.

AFC’s Castle Rock location will also feature a full suite of occupational medicine and workers compensation services. These services include OSHA-mandated medical surveillance exams, D.O.T. and non-D.O.T. drug screens and physicals, and breath alcohol tests, among many other services.
