Great Knockers Again, a local branch of Knitted Knockers, is hosting a Knit-a-Thon from 10 AM to 4 PM Saturday, August 17 in Event Rooms A & B at the Parker Library, 20105 Mainstreet in Parker.
The group creates soft, comfortable breast prosthesis for women who have had mastectomies after breast cancer. These durable inserts are distributed free via personal requests, at health fairs and at 11 area healthcare clinics.
Bring your nimble fingers and join area knitters and crocheters in creating as many Knitted Knockers as possible during one marathon day! Help us to stock up and provide Knitted Knockers at breast cancer awareness events throughout the Denver metro area.
Lunch, beverages, approved yarn, patterns, guidance and instructions for knitting and crocheting Knockers will be provided. Please bring your own 8” US 3, 4 or 5 double pointed knitting needles, size 4 or 5, 24"+ cable needles, or size sizes D, F or G crochet hooks.
Register to attend at: 2019-Parker-Knit-a-Thon.Eventbrite.com
