The non-greatest show on earth

I urge every county resident to attend the charade that is our commissioners' meeting! I guarantee you won't feel represented by these actors faking concern to appease their voting base. Instead you'll leave in disgust when medical professionals, engineers, and local business owners are brushed off by the commissioners' arrogance. How unprofessional and dismissive!

Yet in the middle of a pandemic, when the commissioners should be preserving public health, they've seized the opportunity to score political points. Using the tired rhetoric of freedom and choice, they decided to pull out of the Tri-County Health agreement.

Their response echoed the traditional local control and cost-effective government stance, yet they haven't said how they're going to pay for it. How ironic, they just completely contradicted themselves!

Is this sound judgment making? Is this a well thought out strategy? Kind of makes you wonder what other shenanigans they're up to with millions of dollars of public money. This is not representation, fellow citizens, but political theater; they're stoking public opinion to achieve their desired ends.

If you're up for the challenge of watching people try and scam you, I suggest their show in Castle Rock. They'll try and present their version of reality, but it's just a play; you'll quickly glean this isn't good governance or concern for community, but instead a theatrical farce!
