Letter to the editor: Food bank is grateful for help

Food bank is grateful for help

Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020 was a special day at the Parker Task Force food bank. During our drive-up food drive the community donated 317 cases of food, enough to feed 150 families. We have not been able to have our usual community food drives at the grocery stores because of the pandemic, so the drive-up food drive was essential to restock the shelves of the food bank. We are assisting a record number of clients and project that to continue. We appreciate our donors more than ever in these unprecedented times. Thank you to everyone who came out to support us: donors, volunteers, and the Rotary Club of Parker. For over 33 years the community has been there to support its neighbors in need through the Parker Task Force. For that I am grateful.
