I am 56 years old and I have lived in Highlands Ranch for 25 years. My husband and I bought our first home in Roxborough in 1988. By 1992 we had two children and felt the need to move closer to all the things we needed access to. We found a great home in Highlands Ranch in 1994 and it has remained our home ever since.
I have owned an Allstate Insurance Agency here in Highlands Ranch for the last 19 years and actually worked for corporate Allstate here in Denver for 14 years before that. What I love most about what I do is that I am able to help families protect what matters to them most as well as helping them prepare for their future.
I am involved in my community in every way possible. When I opened my agency, I knew I wanted to grow organically and in a way that I could give back to the community where I would be conducting business. I've spent many years volunteering with the Highlands Ranch Community Association and the Highlands Ranch Metro District and most importantly with the Chamber of Commerce of Northwest Douglas County.
Along with this, I am very committed to Allstate and the Allstate Foundation. Most recently, I am participating in the Purple Purse Campaign. This campaign brings awareness about domestic violence and is dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic violence through financial empowerment. My agency is currently accepting donations to help assist those affected by domestic violence.
Over the last 25 years, I have learned that Highlands Ranch is an amazing community. Because of that I decided to open my business here. Highlands Ranch is a community that supports local business and has served me well as a business owner. I have learned that if you give to your community, your community will give back to you. As a 56-year native of Colorado, I feel blessed to be a part of everything Denver and Colorado have to offer.
As a very social and active person, I love all things Highlands Ranch. I love morning walks along the many trails in the area and love afternoon gatherings with friends at Indulge Wine Bar, The Rock and then dinner with my husband at his favorite Torchy's Tacos.
I am most passionate about my family — both immediate and extended. My husband of 33 years and I have three adult children who were all raised in Highlands Ranch and live in the Denver area. I am also the youngest of six children with several nieces and nephews. In addition, I love the great outdoors of Colorado. Spending time off road in our Jeep or on the lakes of Colorado in our boat are what we love most. I am an alumnus of CU Boulder and following the CU Buffs is also a great passion of mine.
I am a first-generation college graduate. I earned my degree in journalism/news broadcast. I worked for the CU football team in media relations for nine years and was the play-by-play typist for the Lady Buffs while in school there.
