Nominations due soon for Metro District election

Residents interested in serving in one of three open director seats must submit self-nomination, acceptance form

Three seats are open on the Highlands Ranch Metro District Board of Directors, and those interested in running must submit a self-nomination and acceptance form by 5 p.m. Feb. 28.

Forms must be submitted at the Metro District office, 62 Plaza Drive, on the southwest corner of Broadway and Plaza Drive. Forms are available at the Metro District office Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., or at www.highlandsranch.org.

All three open seats are for three-year terms, and one seat is available in each of the following Metro District regions: North Central, Northeast and Southwest. To view a map showing these regions, go to http://highlandsranch.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Director_Regions_May_2018.pdf.

Also, applications for an absentee ballot may be filed with the Metro District's designated election official by email, cmitchell@highlandsranch.org, fax at 303-791-3290, by U.S. mail, or in person at the above address during regular business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., until the close of business Tuesday, April 28. All absentee ballots must be returned to the designated election official by 7 p.m. on election day, Tuesday, May 5.
