Ring in holidays with annual celebration

Highlands Ranch Mansion event includes horse-drawn hayrides, tours, scavenger hunt

Posted

A fire truck will deliver Santa to the annual Highlands Ranch Mansion holiday celebration Dec. 7.

The jolly visitor will arrive at 10:15 and will visit with guests throughout the event, which continues until 3 p.m.

The holiday celebration has something for all ages, including music, gift vendors, face painting, horse-drawn hayrides, reindeer games and more. Guests can take a self-guided tour of the mansion, participate in a gingerbread-themed scavenger hunt and visit with a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office mounted patrol officer.

Most of the activities are outdoors, so dress for the weather. The Simply Pizza food truck, Picky Bean coffee roasters and the Knights of Columbus will sell food and beverages.

Local elementary school choirs will perform and Douglas County Libraries will host two story times.

Free parking is available in the north lot at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 2903 S. University Blvd., Highlands Ranch. Shuttle buses will take guests from the church to the mansion beginning at 9:45 a.m. No event parking is available at the mansion.

For information, call the Highlands Ranch Metro District at 303-791-0430 or go to www.highlandsranch.org.
