Sheriff’s office seeks possible victims of pharmacist

Former Parker resident was recently arrested on sexual assault charges

Deputies in the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office have announced that they are searching for potential victims of a Teller County man arrested on sexual assault charges in June.

The man, Brent Stein, 46, worked as a pharmacist at Mountain Key Pharmacy in Florissant, according to a release from DCSO. His license has been suspended since July 2. He has lived in both Teller and Douglas counties.

Stein, who is out on bond in Teller County, was arrested on three counts of sexual assault on June 21.

“On Aug. 26, 2020, our detective reopened a 2016 sexual assault investigation that listed Stein as a suspect,” according to the Douglas County release.

Now, DCSO is looking for others who may have been victims of Stein’s or have any other information about these incidents. While in Douglas County, Stein lived in Parker.

“Right now we are just looking for anyone who might have any information about additional sex assaults he may have committed,” DCSO spokesperson Lauren Childress said. “Specifically, anyone who may be a victim.”

Stein was arrested after a woman, who said she met Stein on a dating site, reported that he gave her unprescribed medication and then sexually assaulted her when she became incapacitated, according to a news release from Teller County.

After further investigation, other alleged victims came forward, according to the release.

Anyone with information on the case can contact DCSO Detective Stephanie Dorrell at 303-814-7131 or Teller County Detective Y. Bisset at 719-304-5756.
