The joyful sound of brass will fill the Littleton United Methodist Church sanctuary to the high beams.

The United States Air Force Stellar Brass ensemble will perform a free concert at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 30 at the church, a strong community resource which is home to many musical events at 5894 S. Datura St. in Littleton.

The group combines a traditional brass quintet with percussion instruments and plays a program that includes Renaissance music, American folk songs and dances, Latin pieces, orchestral transcriptions and Dixieland jazz. Imagine a marching band, jazz band, barbershop quartet and more.

The Stellar Brass appears on behalf of the USAF Academy and the Superintendent.

The concert is included in the church’s Fine Arts Series, supported by arts patron/members. 303-797-6379.
