The popular fast-casual and veggie-focused chain sweetgreen is celebrating the opening of its first Douglas County location in Highlands Ranch on Dec. 2 by partnering with a local nonprofit that feeds students.
For every meal sold on sweetgreen’s opening day, the company will donate a meal to the Backpack Society, an organization that provides food to students in Littleton and Douglas County school districts.
Located in the Village Center West at 3620 East Highlands Ranch Parkway, Suite 101, the new restaurant will seat 18 people inside and 21 people on the outdoor, heated patio.
Sweetgreen originally announced they would open in Highlands Ranch at a different location last year with the restaurant’s first drive-thru, however that did not come to fruition.
The Village Center West sweetgreen will open with its seasonal fall menu, which includes a curry cauliflower bowl and chicken and brussels bowl, available alongside its year-round fare. The restaurant touts a menu made from scratch.
Diners can order online through the sweetgreen app.
Founded in 2007, sweetgreen has over 100 locations, including three in Denver in LoDo, on Pearl Street and Cherry Creek.
