The 21st annual Tesoro Indian Market and Ceremonial Dance returns on June 4-5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the grounds of The Fort Restaurant, 19192 Highway 8, Morrison. This is just off of Highway 285. Admission: $10 adults; 12 and younger free. Parking is free. Native American artists sell their works, performances by costumed dancers, music, demonstrations by Nature’s Educators, exhibits from the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, food from the Fort Restaurant. Public art
Another family/art/outing idea: pick up the brochure of public art in South Suburban parks, perhaps pack a picnic and look for one or more works to enjoy. They start with Reven Swanson’s “Desert Art Bench” in Cornerstone Park (5150 S. Windermere St. in Englewood), include a number of works that kids will love — and can touch — and may give a family or an individual a new favorite place to hang out! Hudson Gardens (6115 S. Santa Fe Drive in Littleton) offers a number of pieces, including Stephen LeBlanc’s charming “Hangin’ Around” near the river, accompanied by a watchful mama bear at the entrance from Mary Carter Greenway.

New name
Insight Colab Theatre was once Theatre Esprit Asia, TEA, and features Asian actors and stories. “Say My Name” will tell the story of Korean immigrant Seung-Min, who is studying for her naturalization test and is haunted by ghosts of Asian women from history. It will play June 16-19 at The People’s Building, 9995 E. Colfax Ave., Aurora. Tickets $20-$30. insightcolab.org. One Book One Littleton
“Deep Creek: Finding Hope in the High Country” by Pam Houston will be celebrated on Sept. 25 at 6:30 p.m. at Bemis Public Library in Littleton by readers who have enjoyed the book between now and then. On that date, Houston will conduct a writing workshop (limited to 20), appear at a reception and talk at 6:30 p.m. The memoir explores the concept of “home.” Houston purchased a 120-acre ranch near Creede and the book speaks of her efforts in tending it for the next 25 years.
Arapahoe Philharmonic
“Stars and Stripes Forever” concert by the Arapahoe Philharmonic Orchestra will combine with food and drinks from Breckenridge Brewery in Littleton on July 3. Concert at 8 p.m. at the brewery, 2920 Brewery Lane in Littleton, live or streamed to your home. Think “1812 Overture” and more. No outside food allowed. Tickets: $35, $30, $17, $10.
