Water garden sale
The Colorado Water Garden Society will hold its annual plant sale at Hudson Gardens, 6117 S. Santa Fe Drive, Littleton, on June 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (or earlier if plants sell out). Admission free. Stroll through the gardens as well, as an added treat, including a look at the lower level ponds of lilies, inspired by Monet's paintings. Social distancing, masks in order ... Cannas, tropical lilies, papyrus, pickerel weed — and fertilizer tablets. Knowledgeable staff on hand to help with choices and “how-to.”
Rox Arts Center at Aspen Grove is open for gallery visits and sales and new classes. Admission free. Class fees vary. Open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Saturday; 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays. Four Giant Grasshoppers will perform “The Grasshoppers” on the lawn June 11 to 27 at the innovative Buntport Theatre, 717 Lipan St., Denver, Thursdays through Saturdays at 7 p.m., to be viewed from your vehicle by groups who have already been quarantined together. Bring masks and roll down windows. Performance will be 35 minutes long. Tickets are by donation (pay what you can/will). Buy in advance. 720-946-1388, buntport.com. Requires vehicle and smartphone.
